Say Hello to the Angels

Shall I start by saying, I cannot believe Thanksgiving is over. It passed so quickly and all the yummy leftovers are already gone! Anyways, I've been meaning to start doing an outfit post. I've been experimenting with my new/old camera. My grandmother generously gifted it to me and its one of those old film cameras...its almost a dinosaur. *Note I'm saying this with mild sarcasm.
So I've been learning all about aperture and exposure and lovely photographer stuff.  So far I'm loving the results though, this is the first picture I took with it.

So now onto more impressive work. I was in love with the editorial in Numero China, modeled by Catherine McNeil. These were my favorite shots.

I was in love with the colors and elegant styling. A winter wonderland wardrobe, indeed.

Updates on my editorial soon!

They call him the mouse king....

Oh have I been a bad blogger, but I promise you I will make up for it. I've been busy as a honey bee working on an editorial with my styling class and not only am I beyond words but I also get to show you a tiny preview. Sort of like a slice of cake before the feast. Don't know why I've been relating things to dessert lately....but away from my ranting, here are some pictures.

One of the outfits. My friend was able to provide an adorable black tulle dress, to which I hand sewed purple tulle and a faux fur jacket.

and my stellar team:

My friend Alexis, Ford Model Kayla Helt, me, and Sammi from SammiSuits

more to come oh so very soon.

you know I can't keep secrets from you for very long at all...

Manic Panic and the jock

Found on Style.com (Manic Panic)

It was after reading this article that I got the burst of inspiration for a little vintage rock and roll look. Somehow, though, I ended up looking more like a jock? Blame it on the 80's leather jacket.

Okay so onto the more important part of this post. I've lately become obsessed with owls. There's one that comes every night to the tree outside of my window and "hoos" and it must be the cutest thing. On that note, my grandmother and sister took notice and brought me back an amazing collection of them.

Isn't he cute? Way more photogenic than me. He's the smallest one and is hand painted and carved. I've decided to name him Alfie.

Love,
A

Away in little China

I was very literally taken away when I saw Numero China's spread featuring Ming Xi.

The fusion of neon colors, movement, lights, and the tranquility Ming seems to emulate were simple magic.
