i'm old. really old.

Today was one of those magical days. We took a trip to Tlaquepaque this afternoon. I haven't been here in years, it is commonly known as the artists hub near Guadalajara. You can find a wide array of things here, from leather goods to carefully crafted pieces of pottery, down to some cute traditional peasant tops or dresses made of a fabric known as manta. 

Going into this little town is magical enough with its historical architecture and drop dead gorgeous art, delicious food, and easy going atmosphere. Could it get any better? Yes, indeed it could. Read on and I'll tell you just what happened that was so ubber magical. 

As we were strolling through the principal avenue, taking in the art we stopped by this orange mansion with a plate on it- telling its historical value. The gate was cracked open as we peeked inside, trying to get pictures through the steel gate. The man standing there told us we we're not allowed inside, as it was being remodeled to become a salon to hold events and was not public to the outside. What would you say our luck was, if I told you he decided to let us in? 

This, my dear friends, is the house.

We got an exclusive look and even better an exclusive place for pictures! We were very lucky people, as he did not let anyone else in! This house is 200 years old! Could you believe it?

Of course we took tons and tons of pictures, and it was so hard editing them- so I'm obligated to issue a warning.
